Code of Conduct
As a Case's Ladder tournament director, you are required to treat other members of the online
community with dignity and respect and be courteous at all times. Do not use your position as a
T.D. to put yourself above others or abuse the power in any way.
When posting in public areas,
refrain from being abusive or negative toward other staff members and players. Please keep
your yahoo status messages fairly professional. Any drama or issues that you have should be
kept within the staff and not aired in public domains.
In general, just remember to treat your
fellow gamers how you would like to be treated.
Consider the position as a T.D. to be a duty. There is no reason you can't have fun fulfilling
your position, but you must keep in mind that you have made a commitment and are depended
on to perform the duties you have agreed to.
You must stay active and dedicated, holding
approximately 3 to 5 tournaments per week including at least one tour in the game you have
been assigned. If at any time, you feel you cannot handle the load of holding tournaments, just
inform an HTD or Admin of your situation, so that we can make proper arrangements for the
We understand and insist that real life and family comes first, we just request a bit of
consideration and communication when the occasions arise.
Please be sure to read all your mail carefully and your yahoo messages, as communications are
frequently sent to all staff members informing you of changes/updates/improvements made to
If you feel you are not properly receiving these notes, please see an HTD and
voice your concern.
If you schedule a tournament, be sure you arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your
tournament in the room where the tournament is to be held to greet players and recruit new
members. If this means not jumping the tour before yours to ensure this, then do so.
are hosting back to back tours make sure you leave enough time in your schedule to ensure
you can do this. In the event the tour does run over, then you should IM an available staff
member and ask them to head to the next tournament for you.
No shows, or late shows, are
looked down upon, and give Case's Ladder a bad name. A rare no show due to an unforeseen
emergency is always understandable, but please follow the chain of command and try to inform
someone of the emergency so that they can inform the players.

HeavensAngels77 Staff Rules and Guidelines
- All tourneys will start on time. The tourney needs to be moved if unable to start within 10
minutes of the start time. We host tourneys back to back and if they do not start on time or
within 10 minutes of the start time then it may mess up the start time of the next tourney.
- Although Myleague.com allows you to host for more than one league, we ask that you consider this strongly before you do so and that if you do host elsewhere, it not interfere with your commitment to us or that it be anything that would cause conflict or drama.
- Please make sure you have all needed materials to host a tour. This includes a macro program, the ability to do screenshots, token calculators, and tour calendar links etc.
If you do not, please get in touch with an HTD and they will assist you in setting this up.
- Spamming/Advertising the league - You should be advertising the league at least once during every tour and not more than twice unless you are doing personalized recruiting.
Please try not to over spam your tourney or the League. Try to limit spam size as well. A nine line spam with just a jump number is silly and annoying to our lobby friends and our members. Make it as informative as possible, using as little space as possible.
NEVER addy with another league in the lobby or in a room that we do not have room rights in.
Do not addy for anything but the league in the lobby. If you feel you have something
important to get out to the people ask an HTD or Admin before you post in lobby.
Please when there are a lot of people in room run our league address for them.
Speaking individually to people go along way to get them interested in our league. Strike up dialog with people in the room and ask them if they would like to join our fun league.
People who are on the fence about joining can sometimes be swayed by a kind gesture such as a mini item gift or pogo expression also.
Example of a League Spam:

- Deleting a tour is last resort measure and only an option if the buxx are set wrong or if it was
set for s/e instead of swiss. Any other issues can be simply fixed by editing the tour.
If you feel a tour needs to be deleted, contact an HTD or Admin before doing so.
If there are not enough jumpers within 10 minutes of start time, then it must be moved to another time/date, and every one removed from the tour when you do so. If something comes up and you cannot cover your
tours, please contact a staff member of the next tier to ensure the tour is covered.
- When running a tour, make sure to always use pogo names to call pairs.
You may address people in greetings by their real names, but when giving pairs and official tour responsibilities,
you must use their pogo names as some members may not always know peoples real names, especially new members.
- If you need to leave during a tourney you are hosting or are having computer/room loading
issues, message an HTD or Admin right away. They can "take over" the tourney for you until
you return or finish it for you.
If you are an HTD or Admin in the room and see a host having issues, it is your responsibility to take over the tour and make sure it continues to run smoothly until their return. If the host was in the tour, you need to start a timer on them as you would any other player in the tour.
- Be there for new or current members. If a member has a question, please answer to the best
of your ability. If you are unable to provide an answer, please refer the member to an HTD or
- When setting tournaments (with the exception of true swiss), please set for 6 rounds - 10
minutes per round. This ensures no players are dropped from the tournament when it is closed.
Tour rounds will adjust down when closed, but they do not always adjust up and do not always
give you the option to expand.
- When running tourneys, please type in CAPS and have your HOST badge on. This gives
the players and visitors a better chance to see what you are doing. Please remove your HOST
badge after your tours.
- Clearly announce the winners at the end of each round and ask for verification before
advancing to the next round. Make sure to give a few seconds for any disputes before moving
on. Remember to thank the non winners as well as the winners.
Please wait until all players are finished and have reported before announcing the winner of the tour.
When a winner of a tour is determined, please announce the winner in the room and verify there are no disputes of this before advancing past the red winner screen and closing the tournament. You still have a
chance to change or correct issues if you do not advance past this red winner screen.
- Never harass, intimidate, irritate, threaten, or interfere with other staff members or players.
This will lead to 1 warning then demotion. Help each other, be open to suggestions.
NONE of us
are perfect. None of us know it all. Let's remember that.
Each person has been assigned duties and no one is to interfere with those duties. This
refers to interfering with TDs in their tours, as well as responsibilities given to league
members by admin.
The staff member does have the right to ask for help if needed.
However, no one is to make any decisions, or put into action anything outside their
assigned area without first speaking with the person assigned that duty.
Please make sure any communication of this type is done in private and not in front of others or in a
- TD/HTD ACTIVITY (excluding Admins) -
You must stay active to remain a TD on the HeavensAngels77 host roster. This means running tourneys and playing in tourneys as well as league matches. If you have not run a tourney for more than 14 days and have not contacted an HTD or Admin with reason for absence, you will
be removed for inactivity.
- The most important rule and the one you need to live by is HAVE FUN. Anyone violating this
rule needs to remove themselves. Remember, we are all here to play an internet game for fake
ladderbux. There is nothing real here except how much fun you'll be having, so keep it fun.
We share a few of our rooms with other leagues, so if you see another league in there, ask first
what league they are from. If you have questions on whether a league has a right to a room and
they belong to MyLeague, you can verify through the MyLeague Room Listing found here: http:/
There are other League systems that share some of our rooms as
well that cannot be verified using this link.
If there is a league in our room and is not on a room share, the host is to politely inform them we
are on the Case's List for that room.
If the other league does not cooperate, or if they continue
to have any problems with the other league, they are to contact an admin to take over the
The host should maintain a professional demeanor and be as polite as possible at all
times. Take screenshots of open chat if there is a problem and notify an admin with the info and
details. When taking screenshots, you must capture the entire pogo room/table window for cases to accept them.
Curbing Gossip/Controlling Conduct
No negative discussions are to be done in the lobby by any member of this league. The host is to politely ask the players to drop the conversation in lobby and move it to IM.
conversation/gossip continues, the host is to contact an HTD or Admin to handle the situation and corrective actions will be taken.
The host of the tour is to first try to keep order and fun in the tour, but if at anytime it starts to get out of hand upper staff should step in and take whatever measures are deemed necessary to keep the tour on a professional level.
If the game being played is a table game, it is required that table settings be given before the
tour is closed. Advise players joining a table to verify settings before sitting. If the settings are
incorrect, the player should then let the host know. If the player does not verify and sits at an
incorrectly set table, that player will not be able to dispute the outcome.
There are no exact standards as to how a certain game should be played, settings given are
just a guideline but HOST may alter them if they want as long as it keeps tour on schedule and
is fair for all.
On games that players have to set to allow watchers, this is for the HOST ONLY to come watch
if needed. If other players go to tables and watch and chat, it distracts the players.
The host must include the rule concerning boots and boot timers when giving game rules/table
settings. EXAMPLE: IF YOU ARE BOOTED OR HAVING TROUBLE YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES
TO GET BACK IN GAME and playing OR DQ FOR THAT ROUND - 2ND BOOT IS AUTO DQ
FOR THAT ROUND. Allow 2 extensions in a game, the 3rd is a DQ. It is up to the Host to use a
table timer or not.
Hosts are responsible for checking the tour directly preceding theirs and allow ample time for
that tournament to be completed before their scheduled start. If your tour running is longer than
expected for one reason or another, you may adjust the rules mid-tour to keep on schedule.
The standard lengths for tours are as follows: 1 hour 30 minutes for card games and D/E, 1 hour
for table games.
If you have a member not in the room by the time you are closing the tour, and you have their
IM, you should try to contact them to see if they are are having issues getting into the room.
If so, you can leave them in the first round and put on a 5 minute timer from the time the tour
starts. If they are not in the room by the end of the first round, remove them. If someone is in
the room and not responding, you will put them on a 5 minute timer and remove after the first
round as well. We are working diligently to keep our tours on time and flowing and this is one
thing that will help do so.
You should try to swap "blues" in every tour. Anyone that is not comfortable with how to swap,
speak with upper staff for a refresher course. This is very important and can affect the outcome
of a player stats and the tour. You can ONLY swap equal wins like (2) & (2) NEVER swap
unequal wins like (1) & (2) Wins must be equal or blues can not be swapped. For further
clarification please see an HTD.
We host many special tours both weekly and monthly and are always looking for new ideas. We
ask all staff to think on new things for us to try and contact the special tour coodinator with your
ideas. We also ask that everyone take their fair turns at hosting some of these special tours.
The staff is asked not to set duplicate tours during the day. The discussion yielded a breakdown
of the day that included "blocks": day tours, primetime, and late night. It was decided that a tour
could be repeated, but not within a block. A block is defined as a four hour period.
Cheating/Incorrect Winner Reports
If you think a player is cheating or if two players are in disagreement about who won, you are the TD and must make a command decision. Please watch the scoreboards as much as you can and ask for verification in the room of the scores. Be tactful, but keep the tour going.
If it becomes a major issue between the two players tell them you will see that it gets solved, then contact an ADMIN. It should be noted that in case of cheating to contact an admin so that the player can be watched in future tours.
Please be advised that these rules can be modified/changed at any time.
